Delete Your namponi Account

You can permanently delete your namponi account at any time from either the mobile app or the web application. Once you request deletion, your account enters a 30-day cooling-off period during which you can cancel the request by simply signing back in. After 30 days, the deletion is processed and your personal data is permanently removed or anonymized.

This page explains how to initiate deletion and exactly what happens to your data.

To delete your account from the namponi mobile app:

• Open the namponi app on your device
• Tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation
• Tap Privacy & Data
• Scroll to the Danger Zone section and tap Delete Account
• Read the deletion warning and tap I understand, continue
• Optionally provide a reason for leaving
• Type DELETE to confirm
• Your account will enter the 30-day pending deletion state

You will receive a confirmation email and can cancel the deletion at any time during the 30-day period.

To delete your account from the namponi web application:

• Sign in to your namponi account at app.namponi.com
• Navigate to Account settings
• Scroll to the Danger Zone section
• Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT in the confirmation field
• Optionally provide a reason for leaving
• Click the confirmation button
• Your account will enter the 30-day pending deletion state

If you are the sole owner of an organization with other members, you will be prompted to transfer ownership before deletion can proceed.

After the 30-day cooling-off period, the following data is permanently deleted or anonymized:

• Authentication credentials — Your Firebase authentication account is permanently deleted. You will no longer be able to sign in.
• Profile information — Your name, email, bio, avatar, and phone number are erased from the system.
• Organization memberships — Your membership records are removed from all organizations.
• Business cards — All your digital business cards are deactivated and personal information is cleared.
• QR codes — All QR codes associated with your account are deactivated.
• Lead data — For organizations where you are the sole owner, lead personal data (names, emails, phone numbers, notes) is anonymized.
• Scan history — Creator attribution on scan records is anonymized.
• Push notification aliases — Your push notification registration is removed.
• Stripe subscription — Your subscription is cancelled. If your subscription is 14 days old or less, you receive a full refund. Otherwise, it is cancelled at the end of the current billing period.

Certain data is retained after account deletion for legal and operational reasons:

• Payment and billing records — Invoices, payment history, and subscription records are retained for a minimum of 7 years as required by EU/Cyprus tax law (Income Tax Law, Cap. 297, Section 19).
• Account deletion audit record — A record of your deletion request (status, timestamps) is retained for compliance and audit purposes.
• Anonymized organization structure — For sole-owner organizations, the structural data is retained in anonymized form (all personal identifiers removed) for analytics integrity.
• Anonymized user identifier — Your user ID row is retained with all personal information cleared, to maintain database referential integrity.

No retained data can be used to identify you personally after the deletion process completes.

After you request account deletion:

• Your account enters a 30-day pending state. During this time, your account remains functional.
• You can cancel the deletion at any time during this period by signing back into your account.
• 3 days before the scheduled purge, you will receive a warning email reminding you that deletion is about to be finalized.
• After 30 days, the deletion is processed automatically and cannot be reversed.

This cooling-off period is designed to protect you against accidental deletion or unauthorized access.

Deleted data may temporarily remain in automated database backups:

• Database backups are retained for up to 14 days and are automatically expired after this period.
• Data in backups is not actively processed and is not accessible for regular operations.
• Backups are encrypted at rest and exist solely for disaster recovery purposes.
• After the 14-day backup retention window, deleted data is no longer present in any system.

Please be aware that account deletion is permanent after the 30-day cooling-off period:

• Deleted accounts cannot be restored. Once the purge process completes, there is no way to recover your account.
• Deleted data cannot be recovered. All personal data, business cards, QR codes, leads, and other content are permanently removed or anonymized.
• Third-party data is not within our control. Data that has already been synced to external services (such as CRM integrations) cannot be deleted by namponi. You must contact those services directly.

If you are unsure, we recommend cancelling the deletion during the 30-day cooling-off period.
